On the afternoon of November 2nd, as autumn deepened, the symposium on deepening the reform of the fiscal and tax system in the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Party Congress, along with the establishment of the Chongqing Alumni Association of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, School of Public Finance and Taxation Branch, was successfully held in Chongqing. More than fifty people, including Zhang Jie, Deputy Director of the Alumni Work Office of the university, Li Jianjun, Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation, Wu Chunli, Party Committee Secretary, Lv Min, Deputy Dean, Liu Rong, Chairman of the Professor Committee, Zou Feiyun, Party Branch Secretary and Full-time Deputy Secretary General of the Chongqing Alumni Association, representatives from local alumni associations, faculty members, and alumni representatives in Chongqing attended the meeting. The conference was chaired by alumni representative Yan Xiaoling and Deputy Dean Lv Min.

This conference was not only a grand gathering of alumni but also an academic feast focusing on in-depth study of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Party Congress and discussion on deepening the reform of the fiscal and tax system. At the beginning of the meeting, the host warmly introduced the leaders and guests present and expressed heartfelt thanks for their arrival. Then, everyone stood up and sang the school song together, creating a solemn and warm atmosphere.

In his speech, Deputy Director Zhang Jie solemnly read out the relevant approval documents and extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the School of Public Finance and Taxation Branch. Secretary Zou Feiyun delivered a speech, expressing high hopes for the future development of the alumni association and deep expectations for the alumni. Dean Li Jianjun introduced the new achievements the school has made in undergraduate and graduate teaching, scientific research, and social services. Secretary Wu Chunli announced the list of the first council of the alumni branch, and Secretary Zou Feiyun, on behalf of the Chongqing Alumni Association, presented a plaque to the Chongqing Alumni Branch. The establishment of the Chongqing Alumni Association of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, School of Public Finance and Taxation Branch, opened a new chapter in alumni exchange and cooperation.

In the special discussion session, Professor Liu Rong and Associate Professor Yang Liangsong from the School of Public Finance and Taxation of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, and Min Zhi, a partner at Beijing Yingke Law Firm and an alumnus, respectively, gave wonderful keynote speeches on the topics of "Hotspot Analysis of the New Round of Fiscal and Tax System Reform," "Reform of Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations," and "Reflections on Tax Administrative Litigation." The representatives exchanged in-depth views on the development of fiscal and tax reform, sparking intellectual collisions and presenting a brilliant academic feast.
